Ronkonkoma, N.Y. — March 3, 2022 - VAI, a leading ERP software developer, is assisting pharmaceutical distributors in complying with the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA). The final phase of requirements will go into effect November 27, 2023, to allow the interoperable, electronic tracing of products at the package level. The FDA will not grant immunity after that date to drug supply companies who are not phase II ready. Companies who are not compliant will no longer be allowed to distribute drug products.
VAI’s S2K Pharma ERP software utilizes advanced technology to help pharmaceutical distributors of all sizes with DEA license management and reporting, lot tracking, forecasting and procurement, warehouse management, sales force automation, and more. The integrated software is designed to improve operational processes and to monitor and collect data for reporting to drug enforcement agencies.
With S2K Pharma offered as its flagship software solution for drug supply companies, VAI will be hosting a special pharmaceutical webinar on Thursday, March 24, at 2:00 pm EDT. VAI will be joined by LSPediA, a leading provider of enterprise supply chain software and services in the pharmaceutical industry. LSPediA assists manufacturers, distributors, and dispensers to make, move, track, verify, and protect Rx for patient safety. The webinar, titled, November 2023 DSCSA Requirements: What You Must Do NOW to Prepare will review how drug supply companies can leverage VAI and LSPediA technology to meet the DSCSA 2023 requirements. Experts from these companies will offer a step-by-step timeline approach on how they can get there.
“We notice that many of the smaller drug supply chain players are unaware of the effort to implement impending DSCSA milestones, and we see the responsibility in creating a learning space where they, and all companies within the industry, are given the tools and the information needed to achieve success,” said Gina Parry, Distribution & Pharmaceutical Sales Manager at VAI, “Despite the digital advancements, pharmaceutical companies have realized in recent years that some challenges remain, including compliance readiness and pandemic-related supply chain issues. More must be done in the way of compliance before true drug tracking is realized by the end of next year.”
The webinar will emphasize major points around the requirements and preview strategic roadmaps to streamline operations while observing full compliance. Experts will dive into a step-by-step approach to meet the requirements, including a review of relevant and new technologies in the market.
